How Much Does Botox Cost?

One of the first questions people ask is “How much does Botox cost?” The short and sweet answer is, “It depends”. It’s impossible to provide an exact cost without knowing a lot more about the condition to be treated and your physical characteristics and medical background.

Some doctors charge by the area being treated but we feel that’s unfair. The amount of Botox® required depends on a number of factors such as the strength of the muscles in the area to be treated.

We charge by the unit so you only pay for the amount actually used.

Factors Affecting the Cost of Botox Injections

  • The strength of your muscles. Since Botox® relaxes the muscles in your face, stronger muscles will require more Botox® for maximum effectiveness.
  • Proper injection placement. An understanding of proper placement is key to minimizing the cost of your injections. Improper placement may not only give you undesirable results, but also increase the cost.
  • Experience. It takes years of experience to understand the right injection amount for the particular situation.

Approximate Botox Costs

If you’re new to Botox®, you probably have no idea how much Botox costs or how many units you will require. The following is a general guideline to help you get a better idea of the approximate costs. Please bear in mind that, because of the above factors, it is impossible to give you accurate information without a consultation.

  • Crow’s feet: 10 – 15 units per side
  • Brow (frown lines): 20 – 40 units
  • Forehead (worry lines): 15 – 25 units

These estimates are for women. Men will require higher dosages.
